The six-foot-six gunslinger committed to Clemson and promptly led the Tigers to an undefeated national championship season in 2017 as a true freshman. Lawrence finished his college career with three All-ACC selections in three seasons and set the school’s mark for quarterback wins with a 34-2 record. As a draft prospect, Lawrence was likened to NFL greats like John Elway, Andrew Luck, and his childhood hero Peyton Manning. The second coming of #16 was drafted first overall in 2021 and underwhelmed as a rookie, but Lawrence earned his first Pro Bowl invitation the following year after Jacksonville hired Doug Pederson as head coach and upgraded its roster.
